Ok well I went through those resources and they didn't really help me - the fist link I did what I could but none of that actually gets the site back
the second says look for files that look wrong - i have no idea on what is right or wrong - and as for checking the database and changing the sql password... :(
the third one - well i don't know where to find the actual content or I could just delete and rebuild the whole site anyway...
and the fourth one - well it give a few clues on how to find backdoors but doesn't really give answers...
So anyway, I am not that technical about back end stuff so none of this is very obvious so I will just wait to hear back from the hosting provider (hostgator, who according to one of these links are supposed to be one of the better ones)
As for starting a new thread I was always taught in forums that it is bad form to start a new thread that is exactly the same as an old one...(even the links are going to instantfwd.com)
the site is cranberry-juice.org - as i say like the OP my site is visible to a friend so maybe it is only me that is seeing the hacked sites (blue theme with lots of links)
So I am asking my friend to give me screen shots of the site and I will just delete the whole install and rebuild if hostgator cannot come up with a solution.
