Malicious Header Changing Search Crawler Results

Hello,
I’ve recently begun working with a site that wasn’t set-up very securely. I’m working on upgrading our security protocols and SEO but first I need to clean out the issues we already have.

Our search engine results have been hijacked by a a company selling wigs. I tried updating our robots.txt file which removed the sub-links which are working correctly now but the site description won’t change.

NAST.org www.nast.org/ Shop our large selection of human hair wigs and we’ll ship it Free when your purchase is over $99.

I ran the site through RedLeg’s file viewer and noticed a strange header which seems to be the source including a cookie entitled ‘haircooki’.

HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Thu, 13 Jul 2017 17:04:35 GMT Server: Apache x-frame-options: SAMEORIGIN X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff Link: ; rel=”https://api.w.org/”, ; rel=shortlink Set-Cookie: haircki=haircooki; expires=Sat, 21-Oct-2017 17:04:37 GMT; Max-Age=8640000 Connection: close Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

I looked in the header.php file of our site and don’t see this code anywhere however. I’m not sure I’m posting in the right place but I would appreciate any help.

Site hosted on Gandi, Running WP 4.8, all updates complete.

Thanks
