I know this may sound like a dumb question but the last 72 hours I have had a series of infections or malware over the site. It was picked up by the anti virus wordpress function and my servers after I spoke to them, identified 84 'infections". After they cleaned it up ,i thought it was fine but now now i have 8 new infections, in the theme and in the wordpress core- on the public access html directories. None on plugins!
I am tearing my hair out as i have no clue what to do. The servers have not cleaned the site again for me at this point. I have lots of posts to put up and a newsletter to send out and i don't know whether i should post or not because i have no idea how serious the problem is.
For reasons i won't bore you with, I have to get this issue sorted as a matter of urgency and i am just a blogger with no skill on the technical side.
If the virus is not serious i am happy to carry on BUT i don't want to infect anyone else. What should i do? Please help. Thanks
